Position: Registered Nurse, Occupational Health
Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Occupational Health team. In this role, you will help promote employee health, safety, and well-being by providing occupational health services, responding to workplace medical needs, coordinating health surveillance programs, and ensuring compliance with applicable health and safety regulations.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Human Resources, and external healthcare providers, to support a healthy and productive workforce.
Responsibilities
• Provide first aid and nursing care for workplace illnesses and injuries.
• Respond to onsite medical emergencies and coordinate appropriate follow-up care.
• Support occupational health surveillance programs, including: Hearing conservation, Respiratory protection, Vision screening
• Bloodborne pathogen programs
• Biological monitoring and related health initiatives
• Coordinate offsite medical evaluations and testing with external healthcare providers.
• Review, track, and maintain employee health records and surveillance results.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation within electronic medical record systems.
• Administer and dispense approved over-the-counter (OTC) medications as appropriate.
• Partner with Environmental Health & Safety teams to support regulatory compliance and workplace health initiatives.
• Deliver health education and wellness-related presentations to employees as needed.
• Ensure compliance with applicable occupational health regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Support special projects and health-related programs as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) or equivalent nursing education.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• 5+ years of professional nursing experience.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, email, and internet-based applications.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive medical information.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• 2+ years of occupational health nursing experience.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Experience supporting workplace health, safety, and compliance programs.
