Overview
Sentara Imaging Center at Sentara BelleHarbour, in Suffolk, VA, is currently hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist II for a Part Time, Day Shift. Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.
Responsibilities
- Conduct general Nuclear Medicine imaging of patients within the scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, including positioning of patients for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology.
- Prepare, dose manage and administer radiopharmaceuticals; operate radiation-producing equipment and electronic radiology systems; prepare patient room/equipment.
- Provide patient and family education; maintain adequate supply inventory.
- Explain examination procedures and discharge instructions to patients and complete departmental documentation.
- Comply with all radioactive activity monitoring and documentation; perform quality control and quality assurance standards as prescribed by state, federal, and local agencies.
Education
- Trade School degree in Radiologic Technology or Bachelor’s Degree in Nuclear Medicine (Required)
Certification/Licensure
- ARRT or CNMT (Required)
- BLS (Required)

Note: The Advanced Imaging Center at BelleHarbour is conveniently located on the campus of Sentara BelleHarbour in Western Tidewater. The center offers advanced imaging capabilities and sub-specialized radiologists in women’s imaging, musculoskeletal, body, and neuroradiology.
