Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.ResponsibilitiesTrains and receives regular direct supervision or guidance from a more senior technologist while performing nuclear medicine studies in a safe and efficient manner, completing all associated paper and computer documentation while providing high quality images for radiologist interpretation.Essential FunctionsPerforms nuclear medicine imaging and therapy in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures. Enters, transmits, and reports scan results.Ensures proper imaging techniques related to patients age and ability to understand procedure (sight, hearing needs, ability to cooperate) to ensure image quality is successfully obtained.Reviews patient history and physician's orders.

Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.Positions patient and performs imaging procedures.Reviews patient information and interpretation of data to confirm an appropriate plan and intervention specific for age related needs and provision of care.Orders, prepares, administers, stores and disposes of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols and applicable regulations/standards.
