Program Overview & Who We Are Looking For

Portland Community College’s Foundations of Clinical Research Program offers a 6‑month, non‑credit Certificate Program delivered online and remotely. The program trains students and professionals in clinical trial operations, ethics, regulatory compliance, recruitment, reporting, and related skills.

Minimum Instructor Qualifications

• 3 years of experience working in Clinical Research and/or Clinical Trials.
• Hold an appropriate credential, such as:
  • Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP)
  • Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA)
  • Master’s in Public Health, Clinical Research, Clinical Trials, Research Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a comparable qualification.
  • Other recognized credentials may be considered on a case‑by‑case basis.
• Experience teaching, training, or facilitating adult learners.

Compensation

Part‑time faculty begin at Step 1 of the current salary schedule. Hourly rates are determined by course type (lecture, lab, or lecture/lab).

Veterans' Preference

• DD214 for veterans.
• DD214 and VA letter for disabled veterans.
