Newborn Hospitalist

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible pediatricians to join their busy, diverse, multispecialty neonatology practice as newborn hospitalists in the North Dallas area. This role involves providing comprehensive newborn services as part of a collaborative team that includes in-house neonatologists and other specialists. Practice Info

• Multispecialty neonatology practice
• Team includes in-house neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners, developmental pediatricians, cardiologists, MFMs, and pediatric surgeons
• Provide Level-I to Level-II newborn care at Methodist Richardson Medical Center, Texas Health Presbyterian Rockwall Medical Center, Texas Health Presbyterian Plano, and Dallas Regional Medical Center
• Neonatologist assistance/backup is provided as needed and in all high-risk situations
• Opportunity to participate in education and quality improvement initiatives

Responsibilities

• Provide 10-hour, in-house coverage in the newborn nursery and on call from home in the evening
• Admissions and management of infants in the newborn nursery
• Delivery attendance
• Transitional care
• Circumcisions
• Consultations with families

Requirements

• BC/BE Pediatrician
• Flexibility with interest in learning and a desire to teach are highly valued
