Networking Security Engineer IIWe are seeking a Network Security Engineer who will provide engineering expertise to analyze complex systems, architecture, network design and other technical hardware issues. You will procure and perform acceptance testing on equipment. Provide hardware maintenance support. Prepare site installation and testing reports.

Ensure that problems have been properly identified and solutions will satisfy the user's requirements. Prepare reports and recommendations concerning existing and emerging hardware technology.Responsibilities:Conduct site surveys; assess and document current site network configuration and site-unique requirementsOrganize and direct hardware installations across multiple sitesAnalyze and recommend hardware specifications for project-unique or modified commercial hardwareAssist with building simulations of proposed systems and provide hardware throughput analyses to system engineersDesign and verify test harnesses/simulated interfaces for all test and integration phasesPrepare Mean-Time-Between-Failure and Mean-Time-To-Repair analysesAnalyze operational data to identify choke points, failure modes, and other data for design or maintainability improvementsReview proposed systems, and support of network communications, including LAN/WAN systemsEvaluate current systems and annotate system vulnerabilitiesResearch and analyze data of various products to include COTS/GOTS components and GFE to determine feasibility of design or applicationProvide skilled technical assistance in network planning, engineering, and architectureAssist in the development of technical standards and interface applications, identify and evaluate new products, and provide resolution for network problemsProvide evaluations of systems, networks and information systems to ensure designs meet applicable governmental security specificationsAssist with the development of system security documentation on both new and fielded information systemsDevelop, analyze, and provide feedback on wired and wireless network systemsPlan large and small-scale system vendor comparison, cost studies, and securityPlan and evaluate complex existing network systems and make recommendations for resources required to maintain and/or expand service levelsIndependently develop technical standards and interface applications, identify and evaluate new products, and provide resolution for network problemsIndependently develop system security documentation on both new and fielded information systemsAnalyze, identify, describe, and brief system weaknesses and provide proposed system improvements.Qualifications:Required:Ten (10) years experience as a Network Security Engineer analyzing complex hardware systems for SIGINT solutionsBachelor's degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is requiredFive (5) years of additional Network Security engineering experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degreeMeet DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification for IAT Level II and possess at least two (2) of the following vendor certifications:Palo Alto Network Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA)Sonicwall Network Security Administrator (SNSA)Sonicwall Network Security Professional (SNSP)Symantec ProxySG 6.7 Technical Specialist or Cisco CCNA or higherTS/SCI Poly requiredWhat You Can Expect:A culture of integrity.At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
