Network Administrator IIThe Network Administrator II is responsible for assisting with analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining and repairing of network infrastructure and application components. This position performs a wide variety of tasks such as evaluation, maintenance and training to ensure the computer network performance meets company and user satisfaction. This position also provides information and recommendations regarding network configurations and installations.

The Network Administrator II will assist the network team with ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Support the design, configuration, and maintenance of Layer 2 and Layer 3 network environments across multiple locationsAssist in building and supporting physical and virtual network/server infrastructure (IP schemes, DNS, VLANs, load balancing, etc.)Maintain working knowledge of networking protocols and technologies (BGP, OSPF, QoS, VLANs, TCP/UDP)Support LAN/WAN environments including wired, wireless, and VXLAN technologiesAssist with configuration of wired/wireless networks, including secure access (802.1x, BYOD, guest networks)Support setup and maintenance of firewalls, routing, and switching infrastructureInstall, configure, and maintain network and telecommunications systems and softwareTroubleshoot and resolve network, hardware, software, and communication system issuesMonitor network performance and implement improvements to ensure reliability and efficiencyProvide technical support, follow standard procedures, and assist with deployments and occasional travel/on-call supportRequired Qualifications:Minimum of five (5+) years of experience in IT infrastructure OR Minimum of three (3+) years of experience in IT infrastructure AND an Associate's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related fieldMinimum of two (2+) years of experience in network administration/engineeringFamiliarity and exposure to technical concepts in data, video, and voice servicesKnowledge of networking systems, protocols and operationsAbility to travel to other work sites as neededAbility to work off-hours as neededPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field preferredAt least five (5+) years of experience in network design, monitoring, troubleshooting and optimization on both the LAN and WANExperience with any of the following is preferred: Microsoft Server Operating Systems, WAN optimization, remote access technologies, storage networking, wireless, and virtualizationExperience with Cisco Nexus Dashboard Controller / VXLANExperience with Meraki Switching / Wireless / SDWANPrevious Oil and Gas industry experienceRelocation:This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.Work Authorization:Diamondback Energy is not currently sponsoring employment visas for this position.Diamondback is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
