This role is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical infrastructure, systems, and data through the implementation and support of enterprise-level network security technologies and best practices.The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with enterprise firewall technologies, secure network architecture, VPN solutions, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and network monitoring tools. This individual will work closely with infrastructure, server, application, and compliance teams to proactively identify vulnerabilities, mitigate security risks, support regulatory compliance initiatives, and respond to security incidents.This is a highly collaborative, onsite position requiring strong communication skills, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and current hands-on experience in enterprise network security environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, configure, and support enterprise network security solutions including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS systems, and network access control technologiesMonitor and analyze network activity, security events, and system performance to identify vulnerabilities, threats, and unauthorized activityConfigure and maintain secure LAN/WAN infrastructure utilizing routing, switching, VLANs, QoS, ACLs, and segmentation technologiesPerform security assessments, vulnerability analysis, risk mitigation, and remediation activities across enterprise environmentsUtilize packet captures, logs, SNMP, NetFlow, and security monitoring systems to troubleshoot and resolve complex network security issuesDevelop and maintain technical documentation, security standards, operational procedures, and disaster recovery plansSupport cybersecurity compliance initiatives and regulatory requirements related to infrastructure and data protectionInvestigate and respond to security incidents, breaches, and suspicious activity while recommending corrective actionsCollaborate with infrastructure, operations, and application teams to ensure secure implementation of enterprise technologiesMaintain secure remote connectivity solutions and support business continuity initiativesPerform additional duties as assignedRequired QualificationsLocal to the Memphis, TN area and able to work onsite Monday through FridayBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or related field OR Bachelor’s degree in another discipline with at least 12 hours of IT-related courseworkMinimum of 5 years of recent hands-on experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting enterprise network security environmentsMinimum of 5 years of recent experience with:Enterprise firewall technologies, preferably Palo Alto and/or CiscoTCP/IP, WAN/LAN technologies, routing, switching, VLANs, and network segmentationSite-to-site and remote access VPN technologies utilizing IPsec and SSLIDS/IPS technologiesNetwork security monitoring, vulnerability management, and incident responseStrong understanding of:Network authentication technologiesMultifactor authenticationAccess controlsDirectory servicesExperience with packet analysis and network diagnostic toolsExperience supporting wireless security and secure remote connectivity solutionsWorking knowledge of DNS, DHCP, SNMP, NetFlow, QoS, and enterprise monitoring solutionsMust possess strong verbal communication skills and ability to clearly follow and communicate technical directionMust have reliable transportation to travel between local sites as neededPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting large enterprise or utility environmentsExperience developing security procedures and compliance documentationFamiliarity with cybersecurity and data protection standardsExperience supporting disaster recovery and business continuity initiativesPreferred CertificationsOne or more of the following certifications is required:CCNACCNP (Routing & Switching, Enterprise, Wireless, or Security)Security+CISSPCCSPPalo Alto PCNSERelevant Skills:Software/Technology - Years of Experience - Date Last Used(MM/YYYY)Enterprise Firewall Administration (Palo Alto & Cisco)Network Security EngineeringVPN & Secure Remote Access TechnologiesRouting, Switching & Network InfrastructureNetwork Monitoring & Troubleshooting ToolsAuthentication & Access Control TechnologiesSecurity Compliance, Documentation & Risk Mitigation
