Neonatologist - Practice Medical Director

Pediatrix is seeking a Medical Director for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Stormont Vail Medical Center, near Kansas City. This leadership role involves guiding a vital regional program while maintaining core Neonatology clinical duties. Practice Info

• Serve as Medical Director for the Topeka NICU at Stormont Vail Medical Center.
• Work in a Level III, 36-bed NICU equipped to deliver advanced neonatal care.
• Average Daily Census of 25 at Stormont.
• Pediatric subspecialty support including cardiology, neurology, general surgery, and endocrinology.
• NNP coverage at Stormont ensures smooth operations and support.
• Join a tenured staff of 5 neonatologists and NNPs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Medical Director for the Topeka NICU at Stormont Vail Medical Center.
• Maintain a full complement of core Neonatology clinical duties.
• Provide administrative and strategic leadership to support the growth and stability of the practice.
• Recruitment & team development.
• Quality initiatives and program development.
• Business and operational oversight.
• Community and regional representation.

Compensation

• $35,000 annual leadership stipend.
• Starting salary range starting at $275,000 with annual salary increases.
• First-year guaranteed bonus paid out in monthly installments.
• Year-end annual bonus eligibility.
• Sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, paid licensing fees.

Shift & Schedule
