Senior Negotiator / Attorney
This newly created role sits within a fast-moving, client-focused settlement team dedicated to resolving high-stakes personal injury matters before they ever reach a courtroom. The work is high-impact and outcome-driven — every case represents a real person navigating a difficult recovery, and your negotiation skill directly shapes the result they walk away with. You'll join a collaborative team of attorneys and negotiators built on preparation, empathy, and strategic execution, with a clear growth trajectory as the team continues to expand.
Responsibilities
- Lead settlement negotiations involving catastrophic injury, traumatic brain injury, wrongful death, and other serious personal injury claims
- Draft and refine comprehensive settlement demands that clearly present liability, damages, and long-term impact
- Analyze medical records, expert opinions, coverage issues, and exposure risks to identify leverage and maximize recovery
- Build holistic treatment narratives and independently distinguish eggshell-plaintiff arguments from pre-existing-condition defenses
- Communicate directly with insurance adjusters and opposing counsel to drive efficient, favorable resolutions
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of experience as an attorney or senior-level negotiator handling high-exposure personal injury or commercial injury matters
- Proven track record of settlements of $500,000 or more, including policy-limit outcomes
- Strong understanding of bodily injury valuation, insurance coverage analysis, and negotiation strategy, including anticipated Howell reductions
Preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and legal case management platforms
- Experience managing a high-volume, fast-paced negotiation caseload
