NDT Technician / Inspector – Aerospace
Locations: Everett, Renton/Seattle, Auburn, Frederickson, WA
Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Nondestructive Testing (NDT) / Nondestructive Inspection (NDI) Technicians and Inspectors to support aerospace manufacturing and inspection operations across multiple locations in Washington State.
The NDT Technician/Inspector will perform and, where applicable, oversee nondestructive inspections of aerospace components and assemblies in accordance with NAS 410, BSS 7698, customer specifications, and applicable industry standards.
Candidates with experience in one or more NDT methods are encouraged to apply. Experience across multiple methods is highly desirable but not required for initial consideration.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform nondestructive testing and inspection of aerospace components and structures.
- Set up, calibrate, operate, and maintain NDT inspection equipment.
- Interpret inspection results and evaluate indications in accordance with applicable specifications and procedures.
- Perform inspections using one or more of the following methods:
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
- Eddy Current Testing (ET)
- Radiographic Testing (RT)
- Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
- Liquid/Dye Penetrant Testing (PT)
- Follow approved inspection procedures, work instructions, drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Accurately document inspection results, indications, dispositions, and other required quality records.
- Ensure inspection equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
- Identify defects, discontinuities, and conditions that do not meet applicable requirements.
- Communicate inspection findings to Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and other relevant teams.
- Maintain compliance with company safety procedures and aerospace quality requirements.
- Support audits, investigations, process improvements, and other quality activities as required.
NDT Equipment
Experience with common aerospace NDT equipment is highly desirable, including:
- NORTEC Eddy Current Flaw Detector
- EPOCH 650 Digital Ultrasonic Flaw Detector
- BondMaster 600 / BondMaster 1000
Required Qualifications
- Current or recent experience working in NDT/NDI, preferably within the aerospace or aviation industry.
- Ability to meet NAS 410 Level II certification requirements.
- Experience performing NDT inspections using at least one recognized NDT method.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, inspection procedures, drawings, and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a quality/manufacturing team.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and procedural compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
- NAS 410 Level II certification in multiple NDT methods.
- Experience working to BSS 7698 requirements.
- Aerospace manufacturing, aircraft structures, composites, or engine/component inspection experience.
- Experience with multiple NDT methods, including UT, ET, RT, MT, and/or PT.
- Familiarity with aerospace customer specifications and quality systems.
- Experience with digital NDT equipment and computerized inspection/documentation systems.
NDT Methods
We are hiring candidates with expertise in one or more of the following:
UT: Ultrasonic Testing / Ultrasonic Inspection
ET: Eddy Current Testing / Eddy Current Inspection
RT: Radiographic Testing / Radiography
MT: Magnetic Particle Testing / Magnetic Particle Inspection
PT: Liquid Penetrant / Dye Penetrant / Penetrant Testing
Candidates do not need to have experience in all five methods to be considered.
