MRI Technologist
Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist specializing in pediatric care for a travel assignment in Rochester, NY. In this role, you will be working in a supportive environment with the flexibility to adjust to the unit's needs, focusing on scanning neonates through age 18. This position demands proficient operation of MRI equipment and the ability to provide a comforting atmosphere for patients.

Key responsibilities of the MRI Technologist include:
- Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
- Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
- Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable
- Insert IVs when necessary for the test
- Document all procedures while maintaining the confidentiality of patient information
- Provide patient care tasks as needed
- Adhere to all MRI safety policies and guidelines
- Adjust scanning parameters to accommodate a variety of patient ages
- Properly screen and prepare the patient for scanning
- Identify contraindications for safe scanning
- Independently determine when a scan must be stopped due to motion and sedation/anesthesia is needed
Requirements of the MRI Technologist include:
- Two (2) years' experience
- BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
- Siemens scanner experience
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience
- 6 months of pediatric experience
- ARRT
- NYS Rad Tech License (willing to consider candidates who do not have this at the time of submission but MUST obtain prior to start)
