- Order Verification: Reviewing specific physician orders and cross-referencing clinical indications before commencing scans.
- Protocol Selection: Dynamically adjusting imaging sequences and scanning protocols based on real-time physiological or anatomical findings.
- Contrast & Interventions: Exhibiting proficiency in venipuncture to administer contrast media, and assisting physicians with complex, MRI-guided invasive medical procedures.
- Independent Execution: Operating complex magnetic consoles safely with minimum supervision while maintaining full compliance with safety codes.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited, formal MRI Technologist program.
- Licensure: Active advanced imaging registration from the ARRT or ARMRIT . Candidates who are Registry-eligible must successfully pass and secure their credentials within 12 months of their initial hire date.
- Life Support: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) provider certification issued exclusively by the American Heart Association (AHA) .
- Experience Preference: One full year of specialized cross-sectional anatomy and clinical MRI equipment operation is highly preferred, though strong foundational imaging professionals may be eligible for training.
