Mortgage Loan OfficerPosition Summary: Perform a variety of duties associated with generating mortgage loans; contact realtors, developers, and contractors regarding institution mortgage programs; counsel prospective mortgage customers; take applications; prepare appropriate documentation; make recommendations on mortgage loans; communicate decision to the mortgage customer.Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred. Minimum of two (2) years loan experience with prior advanced banking training through AIB, PB, ABA, etc. preferred.
High level of attention to detail; proficient reading, verbal and written communication, mathematical, computer, problem solving, decision making, and interpersonal relations skills; self-starter showing initiative; work autonomously as well as part of a team; strong working knowledge of mortgage underwriting, loan documentation, conventional and government lending guidelines, federal lending regulations governing real estate lending and residential mortgage processing, closing procedures, appraisals and contracts; and features and benefits of Bank loan products and services.
