Mortgage Business AnalystThe Mortgage Business Analyst is responsible for supporting mortgage operations, system enhancements, workflow automation, and regulatory compliance initiatives within a fast-paced banking environment. This role serves as a key liaison between business users, operations teams, compliance, IT, and third-party vendors to deliver scalable solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, customer experience, and operational controls.ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis & Process ImprovementGather and document business requirements for system enhancements and process improvementsPartner cross-functionally to identify inefficiencies and implement optimized workflowsTranslate business needs into functional specs, process flows, and testing scenariosSupport automation, integrations, and digital initiativesSystem Administration & SupportSupport and maintain ICE Encompass (Desktop/Web) and related platformsConfigure business rules, forms, milestones, fields, workflows, notifications, and reporting logicLead system releases, testing (UAT/regression), and deploymentsTroubleshoot system issues and coordinate resolutions with vendors and ITReporting & Data AnalysisDevelop reports, dashboards, and KPIs using SQL or BI toolsAnalyze pipeline performance, SLAs, and operational trendsSupport executive reporting, data validation, and audit requestsCompliance & Risk ManagementSupport regulatory updates (e.g., HMDA, TRID) and system changesEnsure alignment with internal controls and policiesMaintain documentation for system changes and releasesTesting & Project SupportExecute UAT, regression testing, and validation effortsDevelop test plans, scripts, and documentationSupport project planning, implementation, and post-production activitiesPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, IS, Computer Science, or related field3+ years of Business Analyst experience in mortgage or financial servicesExperience with mortgage lending systems, business process analysis, workflow automation, reporting, and user support.Experience with loan origination systems such as ICE Encompass is strongly preferred.Strong knowledge of mortgage lifecycle and processesExperience with requirements documentation, testing, and data analysisStrong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skillsEast West Bank is an equal opportunity employer.
