A client of ours is hiring for a MOP Writer / Analyst supporting large-scale infrastructure and data center construction.
MOP Writer / MOP Analyst
Contract: 6-12 month contract-to-hire
Location: Remote / home-based with required project-site travel
Preferred Geography: near Sterling, VA or Columbus, OH, or between
We need someone who can understand MEP/construction work, drawings, SOWs and field activity, then turn that into clear step-by-step MOPs / Methods of Procedure.
This is not just a technical writer and not necessarily a hands-on engineer. The sweet spot is someone technical enough to understand the work and experienced enough with procedures/documentation to write it clearly.
Firm must-haves
- Has personally written, reviewed or developed MOPs / Methods of Procedure, or very similar technical work procedures
- Strong MEP knowledge, especially electrical/mechanical
- Can read and understand construction/engineering drawings and SOWs
- Relevant construction, infrastructure, commissioning, facilities or mission-critical experience
- Comfortable with some project-site travel
Travel: candidates should expect approx. 2 days onsite when site exposure is needed, depending on project requirements and their existing knowledge of the MEP scope/SOW.
