Merchandise Logistics & Processing ManagerAugusta Campus - Augusta, GA 30907OverviewJob Shift Any Education Level Associate Degree Travel Percentage Up to 25% Category Goodwill RetailDescriptionThe Manager, Merchandise Logistics & Processing provides strategic and operational leadership for Goodwill's merchandise processing, logistics, and product flow across multiple locations. This position oversees the efficient movement, processing, distribution, and reporting of donated merchandise to maximize operational performance, revenue generation, and mission impact. Work collaboratively with Retail Operations, Transportation, E-commerce, Warehouse Operations, and other cross-functional partners, the Manager ensures merchandise moves efficiently through the organization while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, productivity, and operational excellence.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & CORE COMPETENCIESOperational LeadershipLead daily merchandise processing and logistics operations across multiple facilities, ensuring consistency, accountability, and operational excellence.Merchandise Flow ManagementCoordinate the movement, processing, distribution, and inventory of donated goods to maximize efficiency and product availability.Performance ManagementMonitor operational metrics, staffing levels, productivity, and processing capacity to achieve established goals and drive continuous improvement.Process ImprovementDevelop, implement, and refine standard operating procedures that improve quality, efficiency, and consistency across locations.Transportation & Logistics CoordinationPartner with transportation and retail teams to optimize merchandise movement and support business needs.People LeadershipRecruit, coach, develop, and hold team members accountable while fostering a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous learning.Financial & Operational StewardshipUtilize operational data and reporting to improve productivity, increase revenue opportunities, and support informed business decisions.Quality & ComplianceEnsure compliance with organizational policies, safety standards, and operational procedures while maintaining accurate reporting and inventory controls.Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Retail Operations, Transportation, Warehouse Operations, and other departments to support organizational priorities and mission success.Mission-Driven LeadershipDemonstrate Goodwill's mission and values by creating an environment that promotes teamwork, service, operational excellence, and community impact.QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Retail Management, or a related field preferred.Three to five years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse operations, logistics, distribution, retail operations, manufacturing, or a related operational environment.Demonstrated success leading teams, managing workflow, and achieving operational performance goals across multiple locations or functional areas.Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize competing operational demands.Ability to analyze operational reports, interpret key performance metrics, and utilize data to drive informed business decisions and continuous improvement.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and leadership levels.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and other business systems.Ability to travel between Goodwill facilities as needed to support operational requirements.Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work an eight-hour shift in a warehouse and distribution environment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
