Working under the direction of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and the Director of Assisted Living, the RMA supports residents' health, safety, and overall well-being in accordance with physician orders, company policies, industry standards, and state and federal regulations.Essential ResponsibilitiesAdminister medications in accordance with Medication Administration policies and proceduresAccurately document medication administration and resident observationsMonitor residents for changes in condition and report concerns to nursing staffAssist residents with activities of daily living as neededEnsure resident safety, comfort, and dignity at all timesFollow physician orders and individualized care plansMaintain compliance with company policies, state regulations, and industry standardsWork collaboratively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team membersNote: RMAs may administer approved medications but may not administer injections, IV medications, or medications through G-tubes, J-tubes, or nasogastric tubes.QualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma or GED requiredExperienceMinimum of three (3) months of experience in basic nursing assistant procedures preferredCertificationsSuccessful completion of a state-approved Medication Aide training program and competency evaluationSuccessful completion of facility orientation programCurrent Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificationCurrent Medication Aide certificationMust be in good standing with no allegations of abuse or neglectCurrent required in-service trainingAdditional RequirementsMust be at least 18 years of ageStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and respond to resident needsCompassionate, reliable, and team-oriented approach to careBenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) Retirement Plan with Company MatchPaid Time OffTuition ReimbursementHealth Savings Account (HSA)Life InsuranceAD&D InsuranceDisability InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee Discount ProgramReferral BonusesPaid TrainingFlexible Scheduling OpportunitiesJoin an Award-Winning TeamAt Lake Prince Woods, you'll find more than a job.
