Job Type: Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available
Pay Range: $28.00 – $41.00 per hour (based on experience)
Shifts: All Shifts Available – Day, Evening & Night (8-hour shifts)
Shift Options
Day Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Evening Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Night Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Shift differentials offered for evenings and weekends.
Sign-On Bonus (Full-Time Only)
- Day Shift: Up to $5,000
- Evening Shift: Up to $10,000
- Night Shift: Up to $15,000
Position Summary
Wheeler Staffing Partners is hiring Medical Laboratory Technologists (MLT/CLS) for hospital facilities in the Detroit area.
In this role, you will perform a wide range of laboratory tests on patient specimens, analyze and interpret results, and ensure the highest standards of quality and accuracy in a clinical laboratory setting.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced with laboratory instrumentation and quality control standards in a hospital or acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quantitative and qualitative laboratory testing on patient specimens
- Prepare, analyze, and interpret test results following established procedures
- Prepare reagents, solutions, media, stains, and other required materials
- Accurately review and report laboratory results in a timely manner
- Perform instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control checks
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation of testing activities
- Serve as a technical resource for laboratory staff as needed
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Preferred majors include:
- Medical Technology
- Clinical Laboratory Science
- Chemistry
- Biology
- Related scientific fields
Certification
Must be registered with an approved certifying agency such as:
- ASCP
- NCA
- AMT
- CSMLS
For non-U.S. trained candidates, an equivalency evaluation (ECE, NACES, or AICE) must be completed within 30 days of hire.
Experience
Preferred: 6 months to 1 year of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technologist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist in an acute care setting.
Licensure
Must hold applicable state licensure if required.
