Medical Oncologist - Bloomington & Martinsville, IN

Position Overview

IU Health Medical Group South Region in Bloomington is seeking a medical oncologist to join our experienced team in southern Indiana. Our multidisciplinary team of professionals has access to advanced technologies and robust ancillary services, providing the tools needed for great patient care. Our Olcott Nurse Navigation team offers disease-specific patient advocacy and family support throughout the care journey, partnering with Cancer Support Community – South Central Indiana. This role allows you to provide leading-edge cancer care close to home and includes exciting clinical research opportunities.

Bloomington Position Details

• Opportunity to work in the new IU Health Bloomington Hospital (opened in December 2021) at the Regional Academic Health Campus
• Location: Primarily Bloomington, IN with 2 days/week in Martinsville, IN
• Full-time employment opportunity
• Monday – Friday
• Call schedule: Every 6th weekend
• 95% outpatient / 5% inpatient
• Team: 9 physicians (Hem Oncology & Rad Oncology), 3 advanced practice providers
• Opportunity to teach medical students, if desired, with a clinical faculty appointment at Indiana University School of Medicine – Bloomington Campus
• Comprehensive accredited cancer center in Commission on Cancer (COC), National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), and American College of Radiology (ACR)

Qualifications

• Candidate must be American Board Eligible or Board Certified in Oncology and Hematology
• Residents, fellows and practicing physicians are invited to apply
• Must be able to support H1B Visa candidates
