Mechanical Engineer

Our client, a company specializing in industrial manufacturing and factory technology, is looking to hire a Mechanical Engineer in West Virginia, with an extended project assignment in Wallula, WA.

Pay Rate Range: $95,000–$115,000 per year, depending on experience.

This position requires extensive travel and temporary relocation to project sites, including an assignment in Wallula, Washington, that may last two or more years.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee equipment installation, testing, and commissioning at project sites.
• Supervise installation crews, suppliers, and contractors to ensure projects meet specifications and quality standards.
• Ensure all onsite work follows established safety procedures and industry best practices.
• Maintain project documentation, reporting, and records in accordance with company guidelines.
• Coordinate with environmental, safety, maintenance, and other technical teams throughout project execution.
• Support the planning and implementation of a new manufacturing facility in Wallula, WA.
• Travel domestically and internationally for project execution, supplier visits, and coordination.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role involving industrial equipment installation, machine construction, or project execution.
• Project management experience, including supervising installation crews or contractors.
• Willingness to spend approximately 80% of the time at project sites, including temporary relocation for assignments lasting two or more years.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel nationally and internationally as required.

Hands-on mechanical, maintenance, skilled trades, or other craftsman experience preferred.
