Mechanical Engineer (MEP)

Mechanical Engineer – Building Systems | Denver, CO

$80,000–$90,000 | Mentorship | Growing Project Responsibility

Ramirez, Johnson, and Associates (RJA) is a growing MEP engineering firm in Denver’s RiNo District. We’re hiring a Mechanical Engineer who’s a few years into their career and wants real responsibility, visibility, and room to grow, not just another production role.

If you enjoy solving problems, working directly with architects and clients, and seeing your designs built, you’ll feel at home here.

What you’ll work on:

• Mechanical design for commercial and specialty buildings
• Airports, restaurants, breweries, affordable housing, industrial and municipal facilities
• Direct collaboration with architects, owners, and engineers
• Hands-on design work with mentorship from senior engineers and firm leadership
• Growing into project management as you take on more of your own projects

Why this role stands out:

• Meaningful responsibility early, not years of drafting
• Direct access to firm leadership
• Clear path toward project engineer, senior engineer, and management roles
• Flexible and supportive team culture
• Small-firm exposure to the full life of a project, from design through construction

What we’re looking for:

• 1-3 years of MEP or building systems experience
• Mechanical or Architectural Engineering degree
• Revit experience preferred
• Strong communication and curiosity

Compensation & benefits:

• $80,000–$90,000 depending on experience
• 401(k) with match
• Health, dental, vision, life insurance
• Paid Volunteer Time Off
• HSA, PTO, Parental leave and Volunteer Time Off
• Professional development support, including PE exam prep

If you’re looking for a place where you can do excellent work, grow professionally, and actually enjoy the people you work with, we’d love to talk.

Apply to join RJA and help shape what we’re building.
