CEC has experienced significant recent growth and has established itself as the go-to supplier for a diversified product line supporting a wide spectrum of markets from commercial products, military customers, to space research laboratories.ResponsibilitiesThe Mechanical Engineer 3 designs mechanical and electromechanical products and systems by developing and testing specifications and methods.Evaluates mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research programs, applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materialsConfirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods and testing propertiesDevelops mechanical and electromechanical products by studying customer requirements, researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials, soliciting observations from operatorsDevelops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing componentsAssures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished product and system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processesPrepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trendsProvides engineering information by answering questions and requestsMaintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulationsKeeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services, following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures, requesting special servicesMaintains system and product data base by writing computer programs and entering dataCompletes projects by training and guiding techniciansMaintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societiesContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededUphold the company's core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and TeamworkDemonstrate behavior consistent with the company's Code of Ethics and ConductIt is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.QualificationsBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field5+ years' experience in mechanical design and analysisRequirements Analysis, Design Skills, Presenting Technical Information, Equipment Maintenance, Conceptual Skills, Quality Focus, Control Engineering, Production PlanningSelected candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance issued by the U.S. Government throughout the course of their employment.Work EnvironmentMost work is performed in an office environment.Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.

The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as your job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job-related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations.Base salary is one component of your total rewards package.
