Material Handler – Shipping YardThe Material Handler – Shipping Yard is responsible for the safe and efficient handling of castings in our outdoor shipping yard. This role plays a critical part in loading, unloading, staging, and organizing heavy cast iron products to meet shipping schedules and customer orders.Key ResponsibilitiesSafely operate forklifts and heavy equipment to move large castings throughout the shipping yardLoad and unload trucks according to shipping documents and schedulesPrepare and stage castings for outbound shipmentsPerform visual inspections of castings for damage before shipmentMaintain organized, clean, and safe yard areas in compliance with safety regulationsAccurately record and report inventory movementsCommunicate effectively with the shipping team, production team, and truck driversAssist in yard counts, cycle counts, and inventory tracking when neededRequirements & QualificationsPrior experience in a manufacturing or shipping/receiving yard environment preferredComfortable working outdoors in various weather conditionsForklift operation experience required (certification a plus)Ability to safely handle and move heavy materialsStrong attention to detail and ability to follow shipping paperworkMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding conditionsDependable and able to work with minimal supervisionWhy You'll Love This Job:$18/hr starting pay + overtimeFull benefits (medical, dental, vision)2 weeks vacation + 24 hours PTO401(k) with company matchNeenah Foundry Company is an equal opportunity employer.
