Senior Product ManagerOur Hedge Fund client is seeking to hire a Senior Product Manager with extensive Enterprise Market Data experience. This role is part of a continued effort to enhance and optimize the company's market data capabilities for their growing systematic businesses.
Responsibilities include:Consult with users to understand and document business requirements and workflowsEngage with Business Management and development leads to facilitate prioritization of Portfolio Manager's (PM) technology requestsExpectation management and clear communication with the PMs, Business Management and the development teamsMaintain traceability of functional specifications to requirements/objectivesProject management of bespoke strategic platform buildouts that may benefit multiple PMsWork closely with Portfolio Managers and teams across the firm to facilitate the efficient onboarding and ongoing expansion of trading groupsReporting of progress and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalation of issues, as necessary.Close collaboration with the SPEED team providing both product and project management support across the Market Data organizationBe initial point of project escalation and understanding when to escalate up as neededAlign and track project resources and tasksEffectively partner with the Project Architect and Development teamSkills include:Requires 7+ years of related professional project management experienceRequires 5+ years' experience in the financial services industry, preferably with Equities/Futures/Options/FX and electronic tradingRequires 3+ years' experience of real time market data solutions for a global organization including infrastructure and development. The ideal candidate will have experience working with proprietary solutions as well as direct feeds, Reuters, Bloomberg, Factset distribution infrastructures both on-prem and cloudStrong understanding of real-time (and ideally low latency) system design and implementationAbility to prioritize in a fast moving, high pressure, constantly changing environment with a good sense of urgency and ownershipExperience with development methodologies including waterfall or agile as well as expertise with tools including JIRA and ConfluenceStrong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirementsStrong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present a polished, professional, and diplomatic image to all stakeholdersExcellent interpersonal and communications skills (both verbal and written)Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously within a tight time frameExperience of specifying and writing user specifications and business requirements for development teamsStrong understanding and working knowledge of key data principals
