Marine Field Service Diesel TechnicianCompletes preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on engines and related components at the customer site with minimal direction.We are looking for a talented Marine Field Service Diesel Technician to join our Distribution business in Portland, OR.Will make an impact in the following ways:Complete repairs on engine products in a service shopPerform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic toolsMaintain detailed records of serviced vehiclesAdhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policiesOngoing development/certifications on new and existing Cum30.97mins productsMaintain own toolsIn order to be successful in this role you will need the following:Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnosticsRequires direct supervision and review of workmanship qualityDemonstrates an understanding on access to engine repair process information sources.Understands after-treatment system and can identify major components and their function at a rudimentary level.Has worked on external components on a diesel engine and understands the basic concepts.Has some knowledge of engine diagnostic softwareAdditional Responsibilities Unique to this Position:Tech needs to provide their own tooling. Specialty tooling can be supplied as needed.This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This role will be subject to ongoing random drug and alcohol testing.A current valid license is required for this role. This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations. This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical. 3 years driving experience. This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use. Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age.Education, Licenses, Certifications: Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred). Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution. Locally valid driving permit. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience: Minimal level of workshop related experience required. Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products. Locally valid driving permit.Compensation and BenefitsBase salary rate commensurate with experience.
