Kurt Workholding also provides manufacturers custom engineered solutions to help them maximize efficiency and quality.Job SummaryThe Manufacturing Engineer plans, develops, and coordinates manufacturing processes.Essential FunctionsDevelops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and components, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.Analyzes and plans production equipment utilization.Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.Coordinates with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of materials or parts, and evaluates products / fixtures according to specifications and quality standards.Sets machine sequence set-up and cycle times for the manufacture parts to customer requirement.Use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software for parametric modeling, simulation, analysis, and product documentation.Other DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
