This role serves as the primary technical support during 1st shift operations, quickly diagnosing issues and implementing corrective actions to keep manufacturing lines running safely and efficiently.This position is scheduled for the 1st shift, Monday through FridayThis position reports to Manufacturing Engineering Manager.According to the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), this position is classified as:Non-ExemptInstall, maintain, and support instruments and control systems used in industrial manufacturing processesWork with sensors, control valves, actuators, PLCs, HMIs, motion control systems, and related automation equipmentProvide real-time troubleshooting and repair of electrical, instrumentation, controls, and automation systems on production equipmentDiagnose and resolve PLC, HMI, sensor, motion control, and electrical issuesRespond to equipment work requests with urgency to ensure maximum uptime and overall equipment effectivenessPerform root cause analysis on recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actionsSupport rework efforts by diagnosing nonconforming product and implementing corrective actions to reduce scrap and improve first-pass yieldSupport manufacturing lines to minimize downtime and maintain production targetsAssist in preventive and predictive maintenance activitiesParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase reliability, throughput, and yieldAssist in commissioning new equipment and validating process changesDocument troubleshooting steps, repairs, and improvements in maintenance management systemsEnsure compliance with safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and applicable electrical codesCollaborate with engineers, operators, maintenance, quality, and other stakeholders to optimize control strategies and equipment performanceCommunicate effectively to coordinate maintenance activities, share knowledge, and address operational challengesTo perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, and regular attendance is required.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to support individuals with disabilities.3+ years of experience supporting automated manufacturing equipmentAssociate's degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related fieldMicrosoft Office Suite Experience, including experience logging and communicating data through Excel spreadsheetsAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagramsStrong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision during 2nd shiftsAbility to prioritize multiple issues in a fast-paced environmentSense of urgency and ownershipExperience in high-volume manufacturing environmentsHands-on experience with PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)Experience with CMMS software such as Mpulse or EPACFamiliarity of Banner productLean manufacturing or continuous improvement experienceThe physical demands described here must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
