Summary of Role: This position involves providing mammography services in accordance with physicians' orders, ensuring high-quality imaging, patient safety, and confidentiality. Responsibilities include preparing diagnostic equipment, performing imaging procedures, developing films, and evaluating image quality. The role requires patient education , addressing age-specific needs, and minimizing radiation exposure. Candidates must accurately input data into computer systems, deliver exceptional customer service , and maintain safety standards, including radiation safety and infection control. Additional duties involve monitoring patient conditions, adhering to regulatory guidelines, and working collaboratively within a team, including shift rotations and standby call. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, Washington state radiologic technologist certification, BLS certification, and preferably one year of mammography experience. Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills are essential.
