Maintenance SupervisorThe Maintenance Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in maintaining the operational excellence, appearance, safety, and functionality of our residential community. This hands-on position oversees maintenance operations, supervises maintenance staff and vendors, and ensures residents receive prompt, high-quality service.Reporting directly to the Property Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor helps drive property performance by ensuring the physical asset is maintained to the highest standards.What You'll DoLeadership & Team ManagementLead, mentor, train, and supervise maintenance team membersAssist in recruiting and hiring maintenance staffSchedule maintenance personnel and prioritize daily work ordersCoordinate and oversee vendors and contractors to ensure timely, professional, and cost-effective workPartner closely with the Property Manager to support operational goals and capital improvement projectsProperty OperationsOversee apartment turns, refurbishments, inspections, and move-in readinessMaintain the overall curb appeal and physical condition of the propertyEnsure all resident service requests are completed promptly and professionallyConduct regular property walks with the Property ManagerMaintain accurate records for preventive maintenance, inventories, inspections, and MSDA logsTechnical MaintenanceDiagnose and perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance, and general maintenance repairsInspect and coordinate maintenance for major building systems including boilers, fire alarms, generators, and heating systemsComplete painting, concrete, masonry, roofing, fencing, and light custodial tasks as neededAssist with snow removal and emergency response coverageSafety & CompliancePromote and maintain a safe work environmentEnsure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety protocolsParticipate in rotating on-call emergency coverage, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysWhat We're Looking ForQualificationsStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a teamExcellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple prioritiesProfessional demeanor with a strong customer service mindsetAbility to work independently and make sound decisionsProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsRequired Experience & Certifications5+ years of maintenance experience requiredPrevious experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredOSHA certification requiredEPA certification for refrigerant handling requiredHVAC Universal certification is a plusPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, stretch, and perform physical tasks throughout the workdayFrequent use of maintenance tools and equipmentAbility to lift and move heavy objects, including items weighing up to 100 poundsWhy Join BPG?At BPG, you'll be part of a collaborative team that values professionalism, accountability, and growth.
