The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of mainframe environments, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record of supporting enterprise-level applications in a transactional banking or financial services environment.Must-Have Technical Skills:IMS/DB and IMS/DC – Strong hands-on experience with hierarchical database systems and transaction managersCICS – Proficient in building and managing CICS-based online applicationsCOBOL – Advanced knowledge of COBOL programmingJCL (Job Control Language) – Strong expertise in writing and debugging JCL scripts for batch processingz/OS – Solid understanding of mainframe operating systemsAdditional Required Skills:Experience with mainframe data set management and basic system security principlesAbility to manage production support, enhancements, and batch/online troubleshootingFamiliarity with performance tuning and optimizing existing COBOL and IMS programsExperience working in an Agile or DevOps environment is a plusExcellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional teamsPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldExperience in the banking or financial services sector is strongly preferred
