We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in COBOL programming, transaction processing, and database technologies.
The ideal candidate will work on developing, maintaining, and optimizing mainframe applications in a z/OS environment, ensuring high performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL.
- Design and implement transaction processing solutions using CICS.
- Work with IMS database systems, including IMS/DB and IMS/DC.
- Write and manage JCL scripts for batch processing and job scheduling.
- Collaborate with system administrators to manage datasets and ensure security compliance.
- Troubleshoot and optimize mainframe applications for performance and reliability.
Required Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in COBOL programming.
- In-depth knowledge of z/OS mainframe operating systems.
- Expertise in IMS database concepts (IMS/DB and IMS/DC).
- Thorough understanding of CICS functionalities and programming interfaces.
- Ability to write and manage Job Control Language (JCL) scripts.
- Basic understanding of mainframe system administration tasks such as data set management and security.
