Job Overview

Location: Mountain View, California, United States.

The Mail Services Associate is responsible for processing, preparing, and delivering mail throughout Host-supported locations. They maintain daily schedules for delivery of mail, packages, copy products and stationery, ensuring items are mailed and delivered quickly and efficiently. They also stock supplies, inspect deliveries, process shipment requests, safeguard deliveries from damage and tampering, and respond to production needs.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver mail, packages, copy products and stationery to assigned group/location per daily schedule.
  • Ensure all packages received/delivered are shipped and/or delivered the same day.
  • Audit delivery invoices and approve or reject deliveries based on inspections.
  • Check for contraband and ensure all shipped packages are adequately protected.
  • Process shipment requests with vendors and advise package owners of arrangements.
  • Apply appropriate postage amounts and identification to outgoing items.
  • Stock copy rooms and provide first response for copier fleet production needs.
  • Assist with monitoring online production/copy requests, set up conference rooms, answer calls, direct calls, and take messages.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED; 1–2 years of related work experience in warehouse, shipping and receiving.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and write instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Ability to present information to an internal department or large groups of employees.
  • Warm and engaging demeanor; able to assess circumstances, empathize, and offer help.
  • Basic knowledge of financial terms and principles; ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite, handheld mobile technologies, and applications.
  • Physical ability to assist with warehouse operations; able to lift 50 lbs.

Compensation & Benefits

Minimum salary: $ (amount omitted) per hour. Maximum salary: $27.20 per hour. Benefits include 401(K), dental, health, vision, and life insurance.
