Machinist

Machine Shop Team MemberWe are seeking a skilled professional to join our on-site machine shop team. Our ideal candidate will be proficient in supporting SolidWorks CAM on the machine and have hands-on experience operating HAAS CNC machines, with a preference for gantry or vertical mills. Familiarity with the GM-1 is a plus.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the full programming-to-cut cycle, including CAM setup, graphics simulation, air run, and live troubleshooting at the machine.Mentor or train a junior programmer/machinist, working closely with our current employee who is actively learning CAM.Communicate clearly and patiently to facilitate tribal knowledge transfer, which is a core part of this role.Cut graphite or other brittle/abrasive materials, managing feeds, speeds, tooling selection, and dust management.Build out or establish a machine shop, including tooling procurement, workholding, organization, and workflow establishment from scratch.Fixture large flat stock, as our parts come from boards.PEAK's benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Dependent Care Savings Account (DCA), and 401K plan.
