The Machinist will also be responsible for selecting and retrieving tooling and inspection gauges from the tool crib that are specific to the job being set up, which is directed from reading and understanding blueprints for the fabrication of parts. Other responsibilities will include tube/bar cutting, welding, assembly of shop parts, de-burring, and changing bar stock as needed on equipment, and taking and verifying measurements for each job.
