Machine OperatorBrasstech, a subsidiary of the Fortune 500 Masco Corporation, is a leading manufacturer of decorative high-end plumbing fixtures. We are looking for a Machine Operator.The Machine Operator will operate a variety of machines to produce precision parts to the required specifications. Inspect parts to verify conformity to specifications.Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes (manual & CNC), milling machines, or grinders.Measure, examine, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers and attribute gages.Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.Monitor and review information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems.Inspect equipment, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.The ideal candidate will have:Minimum 2 years experience as a machine operatorBackground working in a job shop environment.Knowledge of watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.Use mathematics to solve problems.Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and basic maintenance.Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools in order to perform precision machining operations.Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.Experience working with brass alloys.Ability to identify non-conforming items and provide corrective action.Join our growing organization and enjoy a competitive compensation package and outstanding professional growth opportunities.Qualified Candidates should submit their resume and salary requirements by applying online.NO RECRUITERS, NO HEADHUNTERS, NO THIRD PARTIES PLEASE.
