LVN/LPN - Medical Surgical

Job Description
Job Summary:
Seeking a licensed LPN to provide high-quality care within a complex medical-surgical unit. The nurse will support patients with acute needs, assist with procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety.
Responsibilities:

• Take initial patient assessments and collaborate with RNs to develop care plans.
• Administer blood products, medications, and manage IV lines, including PICC and peripheral lines.
• Monitor vital signs, oxygen therapy, and use of portable and high-flow nasal cannulas.
• Manage wound care, surgical drains, and isolation precautions.
• Respond to rapid response and code team calls, ensuring patient safety.
• Float within the skillset to support various unit needs as required.

Qualifications:

• Valid New York LPN license in good standing; NY is not a compact state.
• Current BLS certification.
• At least 1 year of clinical acute care experience within the past 2 years.
• Proficient in EPIC charting and familiar with complex care procedures.
• Able to independently manage patient assignments with RN support.
