Job Summary:
Seeking a licensed LPN to provide high-quality care within a complex medical-surgical unit. The nurse will support patients with acute needs, assist with procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Take initial patient assessments and collaborate with RNs to develop care plans.
- Administer blood products, medications, and manage IV lines, including PICC and peripheral lines.
- Monitor vital signs, oxygen therapy, and use of portable and high-flow nasal cannulas.
- Manage wound care, surgical drains, and isolation precautions.
- Respond to rapid response and code team calls, ensuring patient safety.
- Float within the skillset to support various unit needs as required.
- Valid New York LPN license in good standing; NY is not a compact state.
- Current BLS certification.
- At least 1 year of clinical acute care experience within the past 2 years.
- Proficient in EPIC charting and familiar with complex care procedures.
- Able to independently manage patient assignments with RN support.
