Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00)
Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an acute care setting; experience within the last 2 years
License: Must have an active New York Single State LPN license
Certifications: BLS required
Must-Have: Must be able to take own patient assignment with the support of an RN. Experience in vital signs, pain assessment, intake/output monitoring, isolation precautions, and medication administration. Acute care experience within the last 2 years. Telemetry monitoring and 12-lead EKG experience. Wound care basics and Foley catheter insertion experience.
Description: We are seeking an LPN for the Medical Surgical unit. Candidates must have recent acute care experience. The role involves taking patient assignments independently with RN support. You will be responsible for administering medications and monitoring vital signs. Experience with telemetry monitoring and 12-lead EKG is required. Candidates must be familiar with basic wound care techniques. You will be required to float to other units within your skill set. Every other weekend and holiday availability is essential for this position. Candidates must not have any pending licensure; a valid New York LPN license is required. BLS certification is mandatory for consideration.
