- administer medicines, manage IV therapy effectively, perform special care treatments and procedures such as dressings, foley catheters, operation of pumps, special beds as ordered by policy and procedure.
- Process medical and nursing orders, according to policy; Operate necessary equipment properly to carry out physician's orders.
- Intervene in emergency and life-threatening situations, according to established policy.
- Report timely with pertinent data to incoming shifts; Perform other duties as assigned.
- Chart significant and meaningful observations of residents reflecting nursing process.
- Assess and identify resident problems, symptoms, and behavioral changes; Supervise ancillary nursing staff effectively.
- Collaborate with all team members to promote quality care; Communicate with physicians or designee as necessary and with professionalism.
- Communication skills must show compassion and caring for all residents, family members and staff.
- Maintain a State of TN or multi-state license as a LPN
- Possess current CPR certification
