IDR is seeking a Low Voltage Estimator / Preconstruction (Structured Cabling & Data Centers) to join one of our top clients in Alpharetta, GA . Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Low Voltage Estimator / Preconstruction:
- Produce detailed estimates and quotes for low-voltage projects (labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors).
- Review drawings, specs, and bid documents and complete accurate takeoffs for structured cabling/network scope.
- Build competitive proposals for deployments including Cat6/Cat6A and fiber (preferred), pathways, racks/cabinets, and terminations/testing.
- Partner with sales, engineering, and project teams to document assumptions/exclusions/risks and support bid deadlines.
- Support site walks/customer meetings and travel across the Southeast as needed.
- Must have proven experience estimating/quoting low-voltage projects end-to-end.
- Strong estimating background in structured cabling and network infrastructure (commercial environments).
- Ability to interpret construction drawings/blueprints/specifications and translate scope into pricing.
- Proficiency with estimating/takeoff tools and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
