Linux Administrator – OA/ETSOWe are seeking a skilled Linux Administrator to join the OA/ETSO team. This role will be responsible for administering and supporting enterprise-level Linux systems, implementing automation solutions, managing containerized environments, and ensuring secure and high-performing server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of Red Hat Linux, Ansible, VMWare, and cloud technologies, along with a strong commitment to operational excellence and security best practices.Responsibilities:Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers to ensure high availability and performancePerform system upgrades, patching, and security enhancements using SatelliteTroubleshoot and resolve server-related issuesCreate golden system imagesInstall Linux OS using Satellite or CDSet up and manage container environmentsBuild automated systems using AnsibleWork with containerization tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShiftSet up user accounts, SUDO access, and group accessEnforce security policies and manage sensitive data accessManage SELinux policiesUtilize FireEye for system protection and threat monitoringConfigure bonding and EtherChannelsCollaborate with networking teams to resolve connectivity issuesWork with the backup team to ensure proper OS-level backupsCoordinate with the monitoring team to set up system alertingMaintain and support containerized environmentsAssist in migrating applications to container platformsMaintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for system configurations and proceduresDocument resolutions and actions in the ticketing systemRequired Skills and Experience:Red Hat Linux administrationShell scriptingWriting and managing Ansible playbooksVMWare experienceExperience with ServiceNow ticketingGit server experienceCloud experience with Azure or AWSContainerization experience is highly preferredWork Requirements:Must be able to work on-site in Harrisburg, PA at least one day per weekMust currently reside within a one-hour commute of Harrisburg, PATo Apply: Submit your resume along with confirmation that you meet the location and on-site requirements.
