LPN NurseQualifications:• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing• License as an LPN in Alabama• Current CPR Certification required.• Current clinical skills necessary to provide safe nursing care to school-age children with special health care needs.• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with students, parents, administrators, faculty and staff.• Experience working with school-age children is highly desirable.Essential Duties:• Provide direct and indirect nursing services to enhance student academic achievement.• Promote a healthy and safe school environment.• Provide health and safety education to enhance the development of a healthy lifestyle.• Collaborate with RN to identify students with special health care needs and assess their current health status.• Cooperatively working with the RN, assess all pertinent data to develop and implement an individualized health care plan for students with special health care needs.• Provide direct services as prescribed by the physician.• Document all nursing activities thoroughly, accurately, and within established guidelines.• Stoop, bend, twist, turn, and reach on a regular basis• Adequate strength, dexterity, and agility to perform all tasks assigned.• Other duties and responsibilitiesHow To Apply: All applicants should complete the State of Alabama on-line application and attach it to the specific job number in order to be eligible for hire.
