Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated, licensed Overnight Pharmacist Supervisor to join our expanding team in Glen Burnie, Maryland. This position oversees overnight pharmacy operations, provides guidance to pharmacy staff, and ensures prescriptions are processed accurately, safely, and on time for long-term care residents.

Schedule: Overnight shifts with rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise overnight pharmacy operations and coordinate workflow to ensure timely prescription processing.
• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriate dosing, potential interactions, and patient safety.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to pharmacy technicians and other overnight team members.
• Prioritize urgent medication orders and address operational challenges during the shift.
• Communicate with prescribers, nurses, and facility staff to clarify orders and resolve medication-related concerns.
• Ensure pharmacy activities comply with applicable regulations, safety standards, and established policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and protect patient confidentiality.

Required Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist license.
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to lead a team, delegate responsibilities, and manage competing priorities.
• Ability to work efficiently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to medication safety, regulatory compliance, and quality patient care.
• Availability to work overnight shifts with rotating weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous pharmacy supervisory or leadership experience.
• Long-term care pharmacy experience.
• Familiarity with Framework and DocuTrack.
