Lead Software EngineerThe Investment Systems: Operations Technology team at Parametric is responsible for the development of Parametric's proprietary software supporting middle- and back-office operations, including our reconciliation, accounting, and settlements systems. The Lead Software Engineer will be responsible for leading the design, development, and integration of various technology solutions for these systems. This will involve becoming a subject matter expert in Parametric's operational systems, along with the research, design, and implementation of new technologies and solutions to solve key challenges for the organization.Projects completed by this team are highly technical and critical for enabling efficient global operations.

This is a management role, and the Lead Software Engineer will lead projects and manage and mentor developers on their team. A critical objective for this role is to support the architecture and delivery of scalable enterprise solutions by leveraging AWS cloud-native technologies, designing and implementing microservices, and evolving existing services following industry best practices with a relentless focus on performance and resilience.Primary responsibilities include managing and mentoring a team of developers, leading development projects, designing and developing high-quality technical solutions, developing domain expertise within Parametric's middle- and back-office operations systems, researching and developing deep expertise in various technologies, working across teams to build strong relationships, and adhering to high standards for development maintainability, consistency, performance, and correctness.Job qualifications include 8+ years of hands-on Java and J2EE development experience, experience with.Net development, AI fluency, experience supervising software development teams, proven experience working with cloud technologies, proven experience managing all aspects of team-delivered technical projects, strong understanding of features and best practices across various programming languages, strong passion for developing a deep understanding of new technologies or solutions, experience working with various persistence technologies, experience developing resources using IaC technologies, experience developing CI/CD pipelines, experience adhering to and enforcing high-quality code quality standards, proven track record of becoming a subject matter expert, financial services industry experience, experience developing highly scalable solutions in the cloud, experience operating and improving code quality standards through conventions and automated tooling, and experience presenting technical contributions and innovations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
