Allison Elebash Interiors is seeking an experienced Lead / Senior Designer to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina! We are looking for a strong creative who can help lead large-scale, high-end residential projects with confidence and carry a project from the early design stages through installation. Our ideal candidate understands our aesthetic, has a deep understanding of residential interiors, and brings experience across both furnishings and interior architecture. The role requires someone who is comfortable taking ownership of a project while collaborating closely with our team, clients, architects, builders, and trades, with a strong understanding of the construction process. This is a full-time position based in Charleston, South Carolina, with the possibility of 1-2 remote days per week.
The Role
- Help lead high-end residential projects from concept through installation
- Develop design concepts, furnishings schemes, and material palettes
- Source furniture, fabrics, lighting, rugs, art, antiques, finishes, and custom pieces
- Work on interior architecture, including lighting, millwork, cabinetry, tile, stone, plumbing, and finish selections
- Develop and refine space plans and furniture layouts
- Prepare polished client presentations
- Participate in client meetings and presentations
- Collaborate closely with architects, builders, contractors, vendors, and trades
- Attend site visits and help ensure design intent is carried through construction
- Manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines
- Coordinate with the AEID team on budgets, specifications, procurement, and installation
- Contribute to the creative development of projects while working closely with Allison and the broader design team
