Join ZING as a Lead Fire Alarm Technician!
Are you an experienced Fire Alarm Technician looking for a long-term opportunity with excellent pay, outstanding benefits, and opportunities to earn additional premium pay? We're looking for a skilled technician to join a growing team servicing commercial fire alarm systems throughout the region.
What You'll Do
- Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair commercial fire alarm systems
- Respond to service calls and diagnose system issues
- Perform inspections in accordance with NFPA and local code requirements
- Complete accurate inspection reports and service documentation
- Repair or replace equipment to restore systems to compliance
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on fire alarm experience
- Experience servicing commercial fire alarm systems
- Valid driver's license with 3 or fewer points
- Minimum 3 years of licensed driving experience
- Ability to test and service Simplex, Notifier, and Fire-Lite systems
- Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, attics, and crawl spaces
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
- Strong customer service, communication, and documentation skills
- NICET Certification
- Experience with special hazard suppression systems including FM-200 and Halon
- Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic experience
- $35.00 to $50.00/hour based on experience
- Quarterly bonus opportunities
- Time-and-a-half for hours worked between 6:00 PM and 5:00 AM
- Emergency service premium pay
- Double-time holiday emergency call pay
