IGL Financial Reporting Lead ConsultantWells Fargo's Regulatory and Basel Reporting team (RBR) is responsible for filing regulatory reports with numerous regulatory agencies and currently has many ongoing projects related to the enterprise-wide implementation of data management and the COSO-based governance and oversight framework. RBR is looking for an experienced lead analyst to define the reporting processes, related rules and data dependencies for our complex IGL new and existing reports. Specifically, FR2510 - Report of Institution-to-Aggregate Granular Data on Assets and Liabilities on an Immediate Counterparty Basis, FFIEC #009/ Country Exposure Report (CER), Treasury International Capital (TIC) reports and other regulatory legal entities production reports. This key role will define the reporting controls and related critical analytical data points and manage the defined process into production until fully stabilized.
This role will also be responsible for reviewing current IGL reporting processes, identifying, recommending and implementing efficiencies and/or enhanced controls. This will include establishing close working partnerships with our line of business data providers and other finance functional teams, Regulatory Interpretations Team (RIT) and Accounting Policy etc. This position will assist in the coordination and integration of the strategic Finance architecture, eONE/Axiom, also assisting with UAT testing as needed. This will also include working with the implementation teams for other new complex regulatory reports.
This role will also support production reporting and/or the RBR amendments process to ensure that production deliverables are not compromised based on immediate priorities. The IGL Financial Reporting Lead Consultant will directly communicate with management, business line controllers, and banking regulators, including the Federal Reserve Board and FDIC as required.The ability to quickly learn and adapt to the fast-paced and ever-changing regulatory reporting environment is a key requirement. Leading and developing best practices to ensure the IGL Reporting process is a well-controlled sustainable process is also a fundamental requirement. This includes working with remote staff based on the RBR global reporting model.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated history of being an independent self-starter, capable of working efficiently to meet tight deadlines and adapt in a changing environment.Key Responsibilities include:Obtain and maintain SME knowledge of the main IGL Reporting requirements with focus in the integration of the more complex reports (FR2510, FFIEC #009, TIC reports etc.) and enhancements to existing reports, (i.e., FDIC - Summary of Deposits).Collaborate with Corporate Accounting Policy, LOB Controllers and the Regulatory Interpretations Team to ensure that consistent adherence to regulatory rules including assessment of scheduled changes.Be part of key projects to support the RBR Reporting Teams in meeting the fast change and heightened expectation of regulatory reporting requirements. This includes supporting deliverables for key strategic Finance projects.Implement change management effectively communicating regulatory reporting changes to all stakeholders to ensure appropriate implementation of new or revised regulatory reporting requirements.Ensure the compliance with requirements under the Company's Regulatory Reporting Governance & Oversight (G&O) Policy including enhancements to desktop procedures, work papers, and EUCT controls for the assigned regulatory reports; provide guidance and support to the department in completion of all required deliverables.Provide input to impact of reporting deficiencies; communicate and facilitate the discussion with line of business reporting team for resolution; track and document the resolution implementation cycle from report owner perspectives. Follow the established amendments framework as required.Set standards for report review process to ensure the fulfillment of report owner responsibility with specific focus on added value analytics.Support ad-hoc report request for reporting analysis and issue investigation.Required Qualifications5+ years of US Regulatory Reporting experience.
