Position Summary

Lead Engineer is responsible for the supervision and coordination of all activities concerned with the general operation and maintenance work of the mechanical, electrical and craft services. This role ensures optimal performance, safety, and efficiency of all building systems while leading a team of engineers and maintenance staff. The Watch Engineer serves as the primary technical expert on‑site and collaborates closely with property management and vendors.

Pay

56.52 per hour/weekly pay.

Basic Function

Lead Engineer is responsible for supervising and coordinating all activities related to the general operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and craft services. Function as a working group leader in these areas.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop work assignments for each employee.
  • Handle special work assignments and trouble calls.
  • Adhere to quality levels and standard practices for all work performed.
  • Assist in training personnel in proper operating procedures and techniques.
  • Enforce appropriate safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections.
  • Operate mechanical and electrical equipment to supply the job site with power, heat, refrigeration, air conditioning and ventilation.
  • Possess adequate license requirements for the facility.
  • Create and maintain staff scheduling.

  • Electrical equipment

Implementation and management of:

  • Operational manuals and logs
  • The safety program
  • The inventory control program
  • The preventive maintenance program

Coordination of:

  • Work order procedures
  • Vendors
  • The formal training program
