Engineering Technician ViSummary: HII Mission Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Engineering Technician VI to support advanced shipboard electronic systems and technical assessment activities in Hawaii. This senior-level technician role provides expertise in radio-frequency systems, tactical communication links, electronic warfare technologies, and related shipboard equipment. The technician will support testing, troubleshooting, training, and technical evaluations that contribute to the readiness and effectiveness of maritime electronic systems.

Work Location: Oahu, Hawaii - Naval Station Pearl HarborWhat This Role Offers:A senior technical role supporting complex shipboard electronic, communication, and warfare-related systemsOpportunity to lead undersea fleet test and evaluation technical team support of the Shipboard Electronics Systems Evaluation Facility (SESEF), the Tactical Network Analysis Center (TNAC), Surface Ship Radiated Noise Measurement (SSRNM) ProgramOpportunities to lead troubleshooting, testing, and assessment activities in a dynamic operational environmentHands-on involvement with a wide range of radio-frequency systems, tactical data links, and electronic systemsA mission-focused position contributing directly to maritime operational readinessDaily collaboration with skilled technicians, engineers, and mission stakeholdersWhat You Will Do:Lead maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing of shipboard radio-frequency systems, tactical data links, and electronic warfare-related equipmentLead planning, testing scenario development, and analyzing test data while participating on board technical reviews, and providing feedback for Electronic Warfare systems testing and training platforms.Perform advanced diagnostics and root-cause analysis on complex electronic and communication subsystemsSupport real-time combat system test and evaluation/training services to measure, sustain, validate and optimize operational readiness.Support technical evaluations, system performance assessments, and readiness checksProvide technical input for the preparation of test documentation, reports, and system recordsAssist with planning and execution of equipment checks, test events, and operational demonstrationsDeliver training, guidance, and support to personnel involved with communications or electronic systems operationsSupport surge technical requirements or additional assessment activities as directed by mission needsEnsure equipment configurations, maintenance activities, and system checks follow established technical standardsWhat We're Looking For:5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.10 years of experience with shipboard radio-frequency systems, tactical communication/data link technologies, electronic warfare systems, or electronic support-related equipmentExperience conducting maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and operational checks on shipboard electronic systemsStrong ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and system documentationExperience training, guiding, or supporting personnel in electronic system operation or maintenanceProficiency in identifying system faults and implementing corrective actionsStrong analytical skills, technical judgment, and attention to detailActive TOP SECRET clearancePreferred Experience:Associate's degreeCompletion of U.S. military training related to radio-room operations, electronic warfare, or electronic systems maintenanceExperience with cryptographic equipment or secure communication devicesFamiliarity with maritime technical environments or shipboard system integrationExperience supporting technical evaluations or readiness assessments in a military or defense-related setting
