The ideal candidate will operate and maintain precision lathe machinery used in the production and repair of aviation components. This role requires a solid understanding of machining techniques, including turning, threading, and precision measurement.

This position is located in Medley, FL.Responsibilities:Operate and set up CNC and manual lathe machines to produce high-precision aviation components, parts, and toolsRead and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine part specifications and machining operationsPerform turning, threading, and other lathe operations on various metals, including aluminum, titanium, and steel, commonly used in aviation applicationsEnsure that all parts are produced to precise tolerances and quality standards in compliance with aviation industry regulationsPerform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of lathe machines to ensure they operate efficiently and effectivelyUse precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to inspect finished parts and verify conformance to specificationsMaintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that tools and equipment are properly stored and maintainedDocument work performed, including the use of inspection results, material consumption, and machine settingsWork collaboratively with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to resolve any manufacturing or design issues that ariseOther duties as requiredQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in machining, mechanical engineering, or a related field is highly preferredMinimum of 2-3 years of experience as a lathe operator, preferably in the aviation or aerospace industryStrong knowledge of lathe operation, CNC programming, and machining techniquesExperience working with aviation-grade materials, such as aluminum, steel, and titaniumFamiliarity with safety standards and best practices related to lathe operation in an industrial settingAbility to read and interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders
